Hello!
I have not posted on here in some time, so I figured it's time for an update!
As you have probably noticed, I have spruced up my website a bit, and unveiled my new logo. I hope you all like it, especially since there is now Randi's Roost merchandise!
I was so excited to receive my samples of the shirts and stickers a few days ago. I wanted to make sure the stuff was good before I offered it to you all! The shirts are so soft, and I have a hard time resisting sleeping in them. They also wash beautifully.
I am working on organizing an in-person meetup here in beautiful Hunterdon County, New Jersey. It would be at a local brewery/restaurant, so we would not be able to sew there. BUT, they have delicious food and a myriad of beverages, so we could eat, drink, talk about sewing (or other stuff), and maybe I could even do a trunk show! It would be a great time in a lovely little town (Milford). If there's enough interest, we could do this regularly.
We are working on some new patterns at ByAnnie, as we always do this time of year. Unfortunately, Annie took a tumble and broke her wrist pretty badly. She is recovering from surgery and pattern development is very slow going. But we will get there! The patterns are always worth the wait.
I'm also working on the next Slow Along (Leader of the Pack) and the next Workshop (Divide and Conquer). Can you believe this will be the 13th Slow Along?! Time flies when you're having fun, and I am having lots of fun getting carried away with my "lucky" theme. I have black cat fabric, and a super-fun lining fabric that you are going to get a chuckle out of when you see the Slow Along videos. To top it off, the event starts on Friday, February 13th! I do enjoy a theme!
For the Workshop, I had been planning to make my model with the Divide and Conquer kit in Kaffe Fassett fabrics, which is available from Renaissance Ribbons. BUT, then I got a sad surprise when Bob Weir passed away. I am a huge fan of the Grateful Dead, and will probably turn that bag into a little tribute to the band. Probably tie dye and/or Dead logo fabric. Since I plan to use the bag as one of my personal travel bags, I like this idea. But that kit is gorgeous and you should consider buying one if you're doing the class. There a discount code: RANDIS-BFF
That's all for now- I have to get back to sewing!
